Wizards of Distant Worlds: Saving the Universe

Cover of the book 'Wizards of Distant Worlds: Saving the Universe'

The novel tells of the adventures of a group of heroes in a multiverse, where they fight dark entities. After the world of Kerdiven is seized, the heroes escape through the gates between worlds; Yuman perishes, destroying the gates to prevent an invasion. In the world of Grozdan, they prepare for a mission. Aria, Blagomir, and Vidomir set out for the Sreydim dimension, and then for the world of Antiano. During the mission, they use magical artifacts and spells. Blagomir and Aria turn to stone, sacrificing themselves so that Vidomir can complete the final part of the mission — destroying the dark source. The Supreme Keeper Aruna reveals to Vidomir the complex cosmological history of the worlds' origin. After the mission succeeds, the Chernyaks lose their power, and the worlds begin to be reborn. Vidomir receives an amulet allowing him to travel between worlds, and learns of his true origin. The novel explores themes of self-sacrifice, the struggle of good and evil, the saving of worlds, and hope for redemption and a return home to the original world of Azarala.

Foreword

In the magical world of Kerdiven, where magic and enchantment reign, a family of bears had recently settled. The head of the family — Yuman, a mighty warrior-mage. His wife Veseya, skilled in magic, had graduated from the school of wizards together with Yuman. Now, however, Veseya keeps the household hearth and raises two charming twin sons — Blagomir and Vidomir.

The council of elder wizards of Kerdiven approached Yuman with a request to temporarily leave his native world of bears, Narspi, and help defend their world.

Kerdiven, located at the edge of the universe, is now passing dangerously close to the hostile world of Antiano.

Antiano is inhabited by evil entities called the Chernyaks, who possess powerful magical strength. They seize worlds, draining all their magical energy. The wizards of Kerdiven raised a magical shield to protect their world from the Chernyaks' invasion, but it constantly needs to be replenished with energy.

The inhabitants of Kerdiven turned for help to the wizards of neighboring worlds, including Yuman.

Yuman did not want to put his family in danger and wanted to fly to the world of Kerdiven alone, but his family insisted on flying with him, not realizing the full seriousness of the threat.
