Chapter 2. The Flight Home to Planet Dragana, or New Adventures of Darina, Bronislava and the AI Iris

Against the starry backdrop of a cosmic portal, the ship "Aurora" glided smoothly, having just emerged from hyperspace. Darina held the helm with confidence, while Bronislava gazed at the stars through the viewport. The girls began preparing to return to base after a successful mission.

But suddenly, warnings about a possible anomaly in space flashed on the navigation panel's screen. Darina focused with tension, while Bronislava, looking out the viewport, asked:

"What's happening?"

"Not sure," Darina answered, "something's strange with our course. Iris, do you see anything?"

"Yes, Darina," the artificial intelligence Iris responded, "there's an anomaly in space, and it's expanding. It looks like it's heading toward us."

The girls' hearts pounded faster. Darina maneuvered quickly, trying to avoid the danger, but the anomaly kept approaching.

"Iris, do we have a plan?" Bronislava asked, clenching her hands with anxiety.

"We do," Iris answered, "but it's risky. We could try entering the anomaly — it might help us break free.

Darina nodded, determination clear in her eyes. Her sharp mind allowed her to precisely calculate a new course, the most advantageous trajectory for this situation. Then Darina steered the ship straight into the heart of the anomaly. Around them, the stars began to blur, colors distorting, forming monstrous shapes.

At the very moment it seemed the anomaly would swallow them, the "Aurora" broke free from its grasp, leaving behind a whirlwind of vanishing colors. Darina and Bronislava exhaled with relief, and Iris paused briefly before speaking:

"Mission completed successfully. We'll return to base safe and sound."

Darina hugged Bronislava, joy and relief sparkling in their eyes.

"Thank you, Iris," she said, "you're our hero."

As the "Aurora" continued on its way home, the girls knew new adventures awaited them, but they were ready for anything, with a loyal friend and protector on their side in the form of the AI Iris.
